Open House
The Open House is for all new students. This is the time for welcoming the students and introducing our staff. You may also pay registration and tuition fees, tour our facility, and have your shoes fitted by an instructor.  These classes have been selected to accommodate their individual needs and progression.

Registration Fee
The registration fee of $20 is due upon registration of a student, along with the Registration Agreement & Medical Release Form, to reserve a position and class.

First Days of Classes
Please arrive dressed and ready to dance. Usually the instructor will label shoes with your child's name with a permanent marker inside the dance shoe to avoid lost shoes in the future. We have a used shoe bin for donated or rental shoes, however we encourage every child to bring their own pair before classes begin as it is not guaranteed we will have shoes in their correct size.

Tuition is based on hours per week and class. Tuition can be paid in monthly, semester, or yearly payments. Monthly tuition payments are based on a 40-week season in a 11-month period. The monthly payments remain the same regardless of the number of classes in a month. Any accounts with an overdue balance of more than $250 will be assessed a 5% late charge. Students and accounts past due longer than 90 days will not be allowed to participate in class unless a payment schedule agreement has been made with the office. All returned checks will be charged a $35 NSF FEE.  Any “stop payment” checks will be passed to the Santa Rosa Sheriff’s Department if no notification is made to the office in a timely manner.

Dress Code
Please refer to the separate Dress Code page for detailed information as it pertains to each dance discipline. Failure to adhere to the Dress Code will result in denial from class participation until proper adjustments are made. Please label all clothing and shoes with your child’s name in permanent marker.

Dropping Off and Picking Up Students
Parents must accompany students into the studio and wait with them until class begins to ensure they are supervised at all times. Teachers and staff will not be held responsible for students until class begins. Please arrive a few minutes before classes are dismissed to pick up students. For the safety of our students, no students will be allowed to wait outside the facility to be picked up.  If your child is picked up more than 15 minutes after his or her class/rehearsal has ended, a $10 fee will be automatically charged to your account.  Please be prompt when picking up your student!
Generally parents are not encouraged to stay during class, as this tends to disrupt the concentration of younger dancers. We provide an opportunity to  view  classes through window view or in our separate waiting room from our video monitor that live streams each classroom.

REGULAR AND CONSISTENT ATTENDANCE IS CRITICAL TO THE TECHNICAL PROGRESSION AND DEVELOPMENT OF EACH STUDENT.  We understand emergencies and illnesses arise; however, we encourage absences to be kept to a minimum. Please, always call the studio to inform us of your child’s absence. Attendance is recorded all year.  If your student has an injury or non-contagious illness, please have them come to class to observe and take notes. During the months of February through May, students are preparing for the end-of-year recital, and attendance is essential. Students will not be allowed to miss more than four classes during these months in order to participate in the recital. THE P.A.C.E. STUDIO CANNOT REFUND ACCOUNTS FOR CLASSES MISSED, REGARDLESS OF ILLNESS OR OTHER REASONS.  However, students are welcome to make up any missed classes in a class level in or below their current level.

All students are expected to arrive at least 5 minutes early for class, to stretch and prepare. If a student arrives more than 15 minutes late to class four times, this will be considered one absence. Students who arrive 15 minutes late will not be allowed to participate and instead be asked to observe; this is for their safety as they have not warmed up properly.

Private Lessons
Private lessons are a very popular feature of The P.A.C.E. Studio. If you are interested in taking private lessons, the cost is $50.00 per hour (due upon completion of lesson). Please contact the office to set up an appointment or regularly scheduled lessons.

If a student wishes to withdraw, a withdrawal form MUST be filled out in the office with a two-week notice prior to withdrawal.  BILLING TO THE ACCOUNT WILL CONTINUE UNLESS THIS FORM HAS BEEN COMPLETED.

Costumes are required for students to perform in the year-end performance. The cost of $87.50 per costume (price includes tax) will be due by NOVEMBER 15.  We understand that this deadline is right before Christmas; however, we are forced to order costumes in December to ensure costume delivery before our recital dates. Please prepare for this payment in advance.  We do offer you the option of spreading out the payment over the months of August to November, until the payment deadline. (THESE PAYMENTS ARE NONREFUNDABLE).  Costumes will not be ordered if complete payment is not made by the November 15th due date.

Spring Recital
All students will participate in the end-of-year recital, provided they have met the attendance requirements listed above and are current with tuition payments. Attendance at dress rehearsals is mandatory. The P.A.C.E. Studio has a 6:00 PM performance with call time at 5:00 PM. We have found these times to work well for most families. Detailed information about the recital will be given to parents in early Spring. Recital tickets are sold to enable The P.A.C.E. Studio to provide your child with the experience of participating in a full-scale production. Tickets can be pre-purchased during office hours at The P.A.C.E. Studio or purchased at the door of the hosting Auditorium the day of the show. All accounts must be up to date before purchasing tickets. This performance includes a state-of-the-art theater, professional backdrops and scenery, professional lighting and sound technicians, as well as top-quality programs.
